Keith & Kenny

For Donelle's Bday we took her to the Kenny Chesney concert and he was a lot of fun. Keith Urban was great and we got to get pretty close to the stage for his preformance. While we were there we got to see the Wolf from American Gladiators and Robert, a contestant on this season of the Bachelorette. It was fun having a girls day and to listen to some great music. Also, we all got some "Buried Treasure" to take home ( how is it workin out for all of you??) Thanks for a great weekend!

The Slumber Party

SO the slumber party for Donelle and Leslie's BDay was a lot of fun. I think Leslie's "Dare" was perfect for her and Jenn (since Jenn was lucky enough to be on Leslie's left). Everyone was a good sport for their Dare and honest for their Truth (except Donelle... don't worry, we will find out sometime). We had to play pictionary since it is Donelle's favorite game but we played with past memories and things we had done. Then we had great cake and a few stuck it out for the whole night and were rewarded with Chrissy making some great waffles for them in the morning.

Happy Birthday Donelle

I know great friends are important in this life and I also know that I have the best friends EVER! Donelle is amazing, as anyone who knows her will attest to. I am so glad we are friends and that we get to celebrate her birthday with her, even if it is late. I am excited for everyone to get together and be crazy %) Happy Birthday Donelle!

Melody's Kindergarten Program

Melody had her Kindergarten program at school and she was so excited to sing for mom! She practiced all week so she could be really good. Her favorite song was definetly Bringing Home a Baby Bumble Bee. All the kids were so cute and very proud too. After the program, we went to look around and have watermelon and cookies. Melody didn't care about the cookies but had 3 pieces of watermelon, her favorite! I can't believe how fast this year went and that kindergarten is over. I am grateful Melody had such a great teacher. Mrs. Harris is the best and we loves her.

Jon's Party

Chrissy (AKA Yvette) hosted a great murder mystery dinner for Jon's Birthday and Angela's too. Jon (AKA the Duke) was highly suspicious the whole evening. Gary (AKA Khover) came sporting a good mustache and also got a few votes. I was a classy dressmaker who had knocked someone off, just not the person in question. So, who did it???? Shelly (AKA Idelle) was the sneaky murderess. We should've known it would be the pretty girl! Everyone looked great, I wish I would have taken more pictures and especially a group photo. It was a lot of fun acting and the food was awesome! We definetly need to plan another murder :)

Happy Birthday Leslie!!

We had a good old fashioned skate party to kick off Leslie's birthday. It was a great time to skate around and do some good people watching as well. (I think the people there had an equally good time people watching us!) Our favorite trainer, Frank, came too! Also, there were a few guys that had some sweet moves, dancing and skating at the same time:) Then we had to go out for ice cream and Melody really wanted Leslie to wear the birthday hat to Streamers ... we went but the hat got left at home. Leslie is a great person and will always go out of her way to help someone else, she is fun and Melody and I have loved living with you these last few years. We will miss you when you move but look forward to a couple more months of craziness!!

SWEET PEAS!

I LOVE Sweet Peas! I think they are beautiful and I love the way they smell. Growing up, my mom would always have some around and I loved the colors. Melody loves them too and likes to pick some to put on the table. I think she is so proud because she helped plant them.

Cleaning...Melody Style

Melody loves to clean but she has HER way of doing it. I have learned to just let her do her thing. The other night she had brought some of her stuffed animals into my room to play. When clean up time came, do you think she could just carry them back into her room? NO, she got my slippers and books and various other items to make "boats" for her friends to make it back "home". It was pretty inventive but took a while. The next pictures, show her with her attitude that appears when it is not her idea to do the cleaning. In the last one you can see instead of putting her books away she has lined them up against the wall. (Mel has this thing with lining things up). However she does it, I am grateful that for the most part she is a great helper!

Hinckley Challenge

I am glad I decided to do the Hinckley Challenge and with so many people too! It is always great to read the BOM and rediscover my testimony. I know this book is true and even if you haven't finished yet - KEEP ON READING!
